Get on the mat, Jack.
Prime Video has officially announced the release date for the third season of Reacher, one of its most acclaimed action series. The series is set to premiere on February 20, 2025. This announcement was made during an Amazon presentation at CCXP 2024, held in São Paulo, Brazil.
In addition to the release date, a 30-second teaser has been shared revealing that Jack Reacher will face a new formidable opponent this season. The preview showcases the show's signature action, including thrilling explosions and the protagonist, played by Alan Ritchson, displaying his usual strength. However, what's surprising is that Reacher, who stands 6'5" tall, will be overshadowed by a new character named Paulie, who will be portrayed by Olivier Richters, known as 'The Dutch Giant' and measuring 7'2". This new rival appears capable of matching Reacher, suggesting that the hero will need to employ all his skills to come out on top.
Regarding the plot of the third season, which is based on Lee Child's novel Persuader, it centers on Reacher as he delves into the dark world of a vast criminal organization while attempting to rescue a DEA undercover informant who is in danger. In this context, he will confront secrets and violence, as well as unresolved issues from his past.
The cast for this new installment will feature Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten, and Olivier Richters, along with Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, and others. Nick Santora returns as the showrunner for the series. Additionally, the season will launch with three initial episodes, with new chapters airing weekly until the finale, scheduled for March 27. It has already been confirmed that the series has been renewed for a fourth season, which will begin filming in 2025.
