The specifications of the OnePlus 13's display and processor have been leaked. Here's what's new.
The OnePlus 13 smartphone has been the subject of rumors for some time. Recently, new leaks have emerged revealing significant information about this upcoming flagship device that will be announced soon.
The OnePlus 13 is expected to be unveiled soon, as leaks about this new flagship device from the brand continue to emerge. Recently, it was reported that the phone will feature an 8T LTPO BOE X2 display panel with a 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, it is anticipated to include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen.
The report suggests that the OnePlus 13 may feature a slightly curved display and support characteristics such as four-level depth with smooth edges, as well as enhanced eye protection. This device, which follows the popular OnePlus 12, could also incorporate a new optical structure and updated display circuits, significantly improving screen brightness. To achieve this effect, the plan is to use pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming technology, which allows for rapid changes in LED lights to adjust brightness.
The leaked information is consistent with previous reports indicating that the OnePlus 13's display would measure 6.82 inches with a 2K resolution. As for charging, it is expected to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The president of OnePlus in China, Li Jie Louis, also revealed that the device will feature Qualcomm's latest flagship chip, likely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, making it the first smartphone to incorporate it. This same chipset is anticipated to be featured in Samsung's Galaxy S25 lineup early next year.
The announcement of the OnePlus 13 is expected to happen very soon, followed by its launch in China, with global availability possibly occurring before the end of the year or in early January.
