The Roborock Q5 Max Plus reaches a historic low of $280.

It's the mop-free version of our favorite robot vacuum for pet hair.

Sometimes, it is not necessary to invest a thousand dollars or more in a robot vacuum that offers advanced features such as mopping and object avoidance technology. Sometimes, what is needed is an efficient model with powerful suction. The Roborock Q5 Max Plus emerges as a viable option, especially with its current price of $279.99, which represents a $170 discount, available on Amazon and Roborock.

This device uses dual rubber roll brushes, which are more effective at picking up pet hair compared to other types of brushes. It employs Lidar technology to map and navigate rooms, features a self-emptying base, and is compatible with voice commands.

The Roborock Q5 Max Plus shares many features with the Q5 Pro, which is often recommended for those needing a vacuum specialized in pet hair. This is largely due to its rubber roll brushes, which achieve better friction on carpets, making it easier to clean up hair and other adhered particles. Additionally, it has an adjustable powerful suction of 5,500Pa and a 770 ml dustbin that automatically empties into a spacious 2.5-liter container located at the charging base. This allows for prolonged use without the need to constantly empty the bin.

Like the Q5 Pro, the Q5 Max Plus also uses Lidar navigation with three-dimensional mapping and restricted zones, and it can run for up to four hours before returning to its charging base. Users can manage and control the device through a companion app or by voice commands with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple Siri.
