The Rebel Prince of Persia Receives an Important Update with 'The Second Act'.

Evil Empire promises to include more bosses and larger traps in the "Second Act" of The Rogue Prince of Persia.

The Rogue Prince of Persia, a contemporary reimagining of the iconic platform game published by Broderbund in 1989, is still in early access but is set to receive an exciting array of new content next week. Developer Evil Empire has shared details about the upcoming update on the game's Steam blog and has released a new trailer showcasing gameplay footage.

According to information on the Steam page, the update "effectively doubles the amount of content in the game since its launch." The new stage, titled "The Second Act," will include a second act and "a significant amount of narrative improvements for Act 1," along with the addition of new biomes, bosses, and enemies. Moreover, more "quality of life" features will be added, such as multiple save slots and localization options for players in German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. The protagonist of the game will also undergo a notable change in appearance, marking the farewell to the Purple Prince.

This update will be available starting November 21. The Rogue Prince of Persia was already an attractive and innovative game in its early stages and has received numerous updates since its early access launch. However, next week's update promises to be the most significant so far, blending classic gameplay with new graphics and a modern "roguelite" loop, similar to other indie titles like Hades.
