The Rabbit R1 now allows redesigning its entire interface.
It is possible to design an interface inspired by the Legend of Zelda saga and many other things.
Now, the Rabbit R1 allows you to completely redesign its interface using artificial intelligence based on a prompt you provide. Rabbit's CEO, Jesse Lyu, has showcased several interesting examples, such as an interface inspired by Legend of Zelda, another that mimics the style of Windows XP, and one that features a "dark green scanline" background.
While this functionality offers an entertaining way to customize the R1, the company clarifies that the responses generated by the AI are "slower than the R1's default interface and may take over 30 seconds to appear." Rabbit recommends disabling this option if you're looking for a faster response.
To activate the generative interface, you need to log into your rabbithole account, select the settings option, and then click on "profile." Once there, by selecting "enable generative interface," you can enter a prompt like: "You are a talented UI designer and your favorite season is autumn. You will generate a high-quality user interface in this style that will look stunning." After this, you just need to press "customize."
Since its problematic launch in May, Rabbit has made several updates to improve the device's utility, which is priced at $199. Last month, the company introduced the Large Action Model (LAM) Playground, a tool that allows various tasks to be performed on websites like Amazon or Google.
Following these significant updates to the R1, some critics have revisited the device. Reports indicate that the experience has improved considerably, although it is still preferable to use a smartphone. However, some reviewers, like Android Authority, have shown less enthusiasm even after the latest update.
