The PS5 will feature classic themes and startup sequences for PlayStation's 30th anniversary, but only for a limited time.

That's a shame.

Sony has begun distributing a special update for the 30th anniversary of PlayStation for the PS5, which includes new interface themes and boot sequences inspired by its most iconic consoles from previous years. This update will allow users to experience the PS1 startup sequence, which is considered one of the most iconic in the history of video games.

Once the update is installed, users will notice the classic startup sequence when they turn on the console. Then, when accessing the settings, they will find an option called "30th Anniversary of PlayStation" at the top. This section offers the ability to choose from various interface themes, each corresponding to the generations of PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, or a general 30th-anniversary theme. Furthermore, users can opt to disable these features if they prefer.

Each of the themes also incorporates sound effects associated with each generation of PlayStation, providing a nostalgic experience for those who grew up with these consoles. However, there is a significant downside: these commemorative themes will only be available for a limited time. Although no end date has been specified, it is expected that users will be able to enjoy them for a few months.

The arrival of this update coincides with other releases and restocks related to the PlayStation anniversary, generating renewed interest in the brand's products.
