The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is the flagship camera phone I would like to acquire.
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra features four 50-megapixel cameras, a large battery that supports 100W charging, and a powerful Qualcomm processor, all within a sleek design.
Oppo has recently launched one of the most powerful smartphones on the market, specifically designed for photography enthusiasts. The Find X8 Ultra features five image sensors on its rear, highlighting two high-resolution zoom cameras that utilize a folded lens system. Although the design of this model resembles that of other devices in the Find X8 series, it offers significant improvements in capturing photos and videos.
At the heart of the camera system is a 50-megapixel main sensor with a large 1-inch sensor, which is uncommon in this segment. For long distances, it includes a 50-megapixel periscope camera with a 3x optical zoom, along with a "Super Blue Glass" element that helps minimize ghosting and glare effects. The 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera also allows for macro captures, facilitating photography of objects just 10 cm away without focusing issues.
Moreover, Oppo has incorporated another secondary zoom camera, which uses a light-reflecting design with triple prisms, allowing for a 6x optical zoom thanks to a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor. A dedicated camera called the True Chroma Camera is also included, which captures spectral data that enhances control over color temperature and white balance in images. All these sensors are capable of taking high-resolution 25-megapixel photos, optimizing pixel processing and detail retention.
This photographic setup has been developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, which has refined the lens settings to offer retro and cinematic modes. Like the iPhone 16 Pro, the Find X8 Ultra can record videos in 4K at 120 fps. Despite having a thickness of just 8.78 mm, which includes a large camera module, the device offers water and dust protection with an IP69 rating, one of the best standards in current smartphones.
On the front, there is a 6.82-inch QHD OLED display, while the 6,100 mAh battery supports 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, working alongside 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Oppo has also introduced another model, the Find X8s, which includes a triple camera array of 50 megapixels on the back, the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, and a 5,700 mAh battery. However, it seems that these devices will not be available in the U.S. market, so the most viable option would be to import them from a retailer abroad. It is important to note that high tariffs and the end of a de minimis relaxation may incur additional costs when receiving the package.
