The next generation of Apple's Vision Pro could be launched in 2025.

A report suggests that a second-generation Vision Pro headset, powered by Apple's M5 silicon, could hit the market at the end of 2025 or early 2026.

Apple is making strides in the extended reality (XR) wearable device segment with plans for a new version of its Vision Pro headset. Although its entry into this market has not had the same impact as the iPhone or Apple Watch, the company intends to launch a successor within approximately a year. According to recent information, the second generation of the Vision Pro is expected to be unveiled between the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026, coinciding with the release of new iPhone models and Mac equipment.

Despite Apple experimenting with various enhancements, it has been mentioned that the design of the Vision Pro 2 could be very similar to that of its predecessor. This would not be unusual for the company, which often maintains a consistent aesthetic across its devices while improving internal technology. Thus, the update strategy for the Vision Pro seems logical, as it is a product that represents one of the greatest engineering achievements in recent years for Apple. The idea would be to preserve the fundamental architecture while enhancing processing and software experience.

The new Vision Pro is expected to incorporate M5 silicon, as Apple is in the midst of renewing its Mac lineup with M4 series processors. A well-known analyst has pointed out that the next version of the Vision Pro could begin production in the second half of 2025. Another relevant update would be the integration of Apple Intelligence capabilities.

Additionally, Apple has started to internally research smart glasses, in an effort to keep up in this segment, where competitors like Meta and Snap have been advancing with their own versions. It is speculated that Apple could approach the development of smart glasses in various ways, even suggesting the creation of a device similar to AirPods, but in the format of glasses. So far, the company has not issued official comments on its plans in this area, so these projections should be taken with caution.
