The Next Day: Our Opinion on Apple's Mac mini with M4.
The main news this morning includes: the upcoming video game series project from Amazon, a review of Apple's 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, and updates on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
The new version of Apple's Mac mini has been released, now with the M4 chip, and is presented as a more affordable option than ever. This device features significant improvements, including a standard 16 GB RAM. The base model incorporates an M4 that has a 10-core CPU (four high-performance and six high-efficiency), along with a 10-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine.
For $1,399, users can opt for the powerful M4 Pro chip, which significantly enhances its capabilities. This version comes with a 14-core CPU (10 high-performance and 4 high-efficiency) and a 20-core GPU, although the upgrade is considerably expensive.
Tests conducted with Geekbench 6 and Cinebench show that the performance of the new Mac mini surpasses that of most devices analyzed in the past year, and its GPU is fast enough to provide smooth gaming at 1080p at 60 fps. Additionally, its compact size remains one of its most notable features.
In other tech news, Amazon MGM Studios is working on a television series based on the Mass Effect universe. Daniel Casey, known for his work on F9: The Fast Saga, will be in charge of writing and executive production. This series will join the critically acclaimed trilogy and the less successful sequel, Andromeda, and a new related video game is also in development.
