Samsung has unveiled a new line of Galaxy Book laptops at CES 2025. These devices include the Galaxy Book5 Pro, available in 16-inch and 14-inch versions, as well as the Galaxy Book5 360, which features a 15-inch display. All of them are equipped with the latest Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra processors, specifically designed for artificial intelligence tasks. As a result, Samsung highlights numerous AI features implemented in these models, including what they call AI Select, a feature similar to Google's Circle to Search. This function allows users to select an area of the screen to get instant search results.

Additionally, the Galaxy Book line incorporates a photo enhancement tool within the device, capable of sharpening details and improving blurry images thanks to Intel's fast NPU, which can perform up to 47 trillion operations per second. The Galaxy Book5 Pro models feature 2,880 x 1,800 pixel AMOLED touch displays with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The 16-inch model is only 0.49 inches (12.5 mm) thick and weighs 3.44 pounds, with an estimated battery life of 25 hours for video playback. On the other hand, the 14-inch model is a bit thinner at 0.46 inches (11.7 mm), but due to its lighter build, it weighs only 2.71 pounds, offering a shorter battery life of 21 hours.

As for the Galaxy Book5 360, this model has a 15.6-inch AMOLED touch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Samsung indicates that this model, which can be used as a 2-in-1, promises video playback of up to 31 hours. All devices can be equipped with Intel Core Ultra 7 “Evo” processors, although only the 16-inch model of the Galaxy Book5 Pro comes with this as standard. The more budget-friendly 14-inch and Galaxy Book5 360 models use a Core Ultra 5 “Evo” chip. The Galaxy Book5 Pro versions offer memory options of 16GB and 32GB, as well as storage capacities ranging from 256GB to 1TB. In contrast, the Galaxy Book5 360 is limited to 16GB of memory and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

Samsung will soon announce pricing and retail information. The three Galaxy Book5 models are expected to hit the market in February in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
