The new Khadas Mind 2 mini PC is small, but surprisingly powerful.

The Mind 2 mini PC features a sleek and compact design, perfect for those who work from home.

The Mind 2 is presented as more than just a simple mini PC; it is an innovative mobile development platform. This device has garnered attention for its additional features and functionality, making it an ideal tool for developers. Mini PCs have seen remarkable growth in the market during 2024, and projections for 2025 are equally promising, highlighting the Mind 2 model from Khadas, which was showcased at CES 2025.

This modular device resembles a robust SSD more than a traditional mini PC and is powered by the Intel Arrow Lake platform, providing great performance at a competitive price. The Mind 2, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 225H processor and built on the new Arrow Lake-H architecture, represents a significant improvement compared to its predecessor. In addition to offering enhanced overall performance, it also features greater energy efficiency, superior integrated graphics, and optimized artificial intelligence processing capabilities.

According to Khadas, the Mind 2 showcases notable improvements in both single-core and multi-core performance, thus delivering a more efficient computing experience. As a result, this mini PC is versatile enough to perform multiple functions, ranging from professional design and video editing to complex artificial intelligence tasks.

One aspect that sets the Mind 2 apart from other devices on the market is the complementary tools and features that accompany it. Khadas emphasizes that Mind devices come with a comprehensive ecosystem of capabilities around them. Specifically designed for artificial intelligence developers, the Mind 2 is offered alongside the Mind 2 AI Maker kit. Powered by the Intel Lunar Lake platform and an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, this kit provides up to 115 TOPS of computational power, significantly improving the efficiency and optimization of AI models.

The kit also functions as an agile deployment server and edge computing platform, allowing developers to deploy models locally or at the edge, resulting in lower latency and better data privacy. Weighing just 435 grams, it becomes an ideal device for those working on the go or in remote work environments.

A recent and exciting addition to the Mind ecosystem is the Mind xPlay, focused on “mobile work and multi-scenario applications.” This feature enables users to integrate with accessories such as the Mind Dock or the Mind Graphics GPU expansion module.

In terms of connectivity, the Khadas Mind 2 features Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 ports, representing an upgrade over the previous model. Storage capabilities are also expandable via SSDs, and the device is equipped with a 5.55Wh internal battery. Its price starts at $799, although it may vary based on the chosen configurations. The base version includes an Intel Ultra 5 125H processor, limited to 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage, while the Ultra 7 155H option offers greater flexibility and performance at a higher cost, with options for 32GB or 64GB of memory and up to 2TB of storage capacity available, potentially exceeding $1,000.
