The new DJI Air 3S features an impressive 42 GB of internal storage.

DJI has officially launched the Air 3S, its latest drone, which follows the Neo model aimed at beginners. This new quadcopter builds on the success of the previous Air 3 and is specially designed for travelers looking to capture aerial photos and videos during their adventures. The Air 3S features a 1-inch 50-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 24mm lens that allows for recording videos in 4K at 60 fps with HDR and 4K at 120 fps.

Among its features, it boasts a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom. It also includes an omnidirectional obstacle detection system through six vision sensors and is the brand's first drone to incorporate frontal LiDAR. Additionally, it has an innovative capability for obstacle detection in nighttime landscapes, providing peace of mind when flying in low-light conditions.

The Air 3S is foldable and features a 360-degree ActiveTrack flight mode, ensuring that the main subject stays in frame. It also introduces the Subject Focus function, which ensures that the target remains sharp even if it moves out of the center of the image. With a flight time of 45 minutes per interchangeable battery charge and 42 GB of built-in storage, it is the consumer drone with the highest storage capacity offered by DJI to date.

Ferdinand Wolf, a DJI executive, highlighted that the Air 3S takes the series to new heights by including advanced features like dual cameras and obstacle detection while maintaining a lightweight design of just 724 grams. According to his statements, this drone is ideal for travel photography, allowing users to capture special moments while providing safety for night flying.

The Air 3S is now available on the company's website, with a starting price of $1,099 for just the drone. The Air 3S Fly More combo, which includes additional accessories, is offered for $1,399, and there is an option with the DJI RC 2 remote controller priced at $1,599.
