The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is $30 off for Black Friday.

Amazon has recently launched its new Kindle Paperwhite 2024, and a discount has already been applied for Black Friday. This new e-reader, which offers faster page turning, a larger and higher-quality screen, as well as extended battery life, is now available for $130, representing a savings of $30. This is the first time the device has received a discount since its launch and is considered one of the best options in its category.

The sixth-generation Paperwhite features a seven-inch screen, noticeably larger than the 6.8-inch screen of its previous model. Amazon has improved the screen contrast thanks to its thin-film transistor technology, which helps reduce eye strain. Additionally, it maintains a warm light that can be adjusted according to the room's lighting. The front lighting of the new model is 25 percent brighter at its maximum level compared to the fifth-generation model.

The page-turning speed in the new Paperwhite is 25 percent faster than in its predecessors, which, according to Amy Skorheim from Engadget, significantly enhances the reading experience, although the review was for the Signature edition, which shares the same page-turning speed. With a thickness of 7.8 mm, this is the thinnest Paperwhite yet.

The device remains waterproof with an IPX8 rating and features a new rubberized texture for better grip. Amazon estimates that the battery can last up to 12 weeks on a single charge. It comes with a USB-C cable, although a power adapter is not included.

There is also a deal on the new standard Kindle, which sells for $85 instead of $110. Although this model does not include the warm light and has a smaller screen, it is a lighter and more compact option at an affordable price.
