The Motorola G Stylus 2025 Stands Out in Its Technical Specifications.

Motorola is refreshing its budget phone with a stylus, the Moto G Stylus 2025, which comes in two eye-catching colors: blue and, in a variation, also blue. Both models feature a "leather-inspired" finish on the back and attractive specifications considering their price of $399, although they may include unwanted bloatware.
This new version of the Moto G Stylus, from which Motorola seems to have removed the 5G from its name, is equipped with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, a leap from the Gen 1 of the previous model. The company claims that this translates to a "6.4 times improvement in responsiveness" compared to its predecessor. Another significant upgrade is the total water resistance with an IP68 rating, contrasting with the water-resistant design of previous editions, which is remarkable at this price range. Additionally, the device still includes a headphone jack, an aspect that many users will continue to appreciate.
The 6.7-inch display features an OLED panel that offers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and an improved resolution of 2712 x 1220. As for the main camera, it uses a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia sensor, while the 13-megapixel ultrawide camera also has macro photography capabilities. It boasts a robust 5,000mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The device runs Android 15 by default and is available with 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.
With strong water resistance, wireless charging, and attractive color options, this phone resembles a wishlist that many users have had for mid-range devices for years. However, past experiences with Motorola's mid-range phones have generated some distrust. Expectations have been high based on design and specifications, only to be disappointed by infrequent software updates and the presence of bloatware. Motorola has not addressed concerns about this latter aspect in the G Stylus 2025; if it does, this information will be updated. In the meantime, expectations are not overly high.
The Motorola G Stylus 2025 will be available unlocked starting April 17 for $399, with availability at the three major U.S. carriers "in the coming months."
