The message threads will come to WhatsApp.
Noisy chat groups may become more bearable in the near future.
WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to group responses to specific messages in a thread, making it easier to keep track of conversations. Instead of having to scroll through chats to see scattered individual replies, this feature will create a dedicated view that displays all quoted messages linked to the original message that started the thread. This will help users locate specific responses and navigate more easily through long and complicated conversations.
The thread feature, which was detected in WhatsApp's beta update 2.25.7.7 for Android, is still in development and will not be available for testing until a future update. Message threads are expected to be available for individual conversations, group chats, communities, and channels, although it has also been noted that the ability to respond to messages in channels is still under development.
A screenshot of the preview revealed shows what the threaded messages will look like once the feature is implemented, displaying a full-screen pop-up showing the responses sent by various users in a group discussion. Users will be able to click on any quoted message to view all replies within that chain, although it seems that the original message being responded to will not appear in the thread view.
There is currently no information on when message threads will be available to all WhatsApp users. More information has been requested from the company, and the updates will be provided as soon as a response is received. This change is significant and very helpful for those using WhatsApp to organize meetings or who frequently use the search function to retrieve responses to older messages.
