Professional functions at a reduced price.
A recent report suggests that the iPad Air will soon receive a new model of Magic Keyboard. This new version will include some features currently found in the high-end iPad Pro keyboard. Additionally, the entry-level iPad may also get an updated Magic Keyboard.
Apple's Magic Keyboard is an accessory that reflects the quality and price of the company's products. If you were considering purchasing one, it might be wise to wait, as Apple is anticipated to launch new versions in the near future. This information comes from a well-known reporter who has maintained a strong reputation for leaks and predictions regarding Apple technology. In his "Power On" newsletter, he mentioned that the new Magic Keyboard will arrive "in the not-too-distant future."
This announcement follows a previous report stating that Apple plans to update the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air, in both its 11-inch and 13-inch versions. These updates are expected to bring several features from the iPad Pro keyboard, which was revamped in May 2024, including a thinner and lighter design, a row of function and media keys, a larger glass trackpad with haptic feedback, and an aluminum palm rest.
Although not all of these features may be present in the new version of the iPad Air, some, such as the row of function keys, are expected to be included.
Regarding other products, it is believed that Apple will also launch new versions of the iPad Air and the entry-level iPad. The iPad Air is expected to focus on internal improvements, including the addition of a new M4 chip to ensure its compatibility with Apple technology. Meanwhile, the 10.9-inch iPad is anticipated to feature an A17 Pro chip and an upgrade to 8GB of memory. Both models could integrate a new 5G modem designed by Apple.
Despite the latest newsletter simply stating that the iPad Air will receive the new Magic Keyboard, it was previously mentioned that the entry-level iPad would also get this accessory. It is unclear whether there have been changes to these plans or why this mention was not included in the latest report. It is possible that the accessory update is now limited to the iPad Air.
In any case, more information is expected when Apple unveils its new products in the coming months. For those interested in purchasing any of these devices, it may be worth waiting a little longer.
