Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth lead the list with seven nominations each, while Metaphor: ReFantazio closely follows with six.
In terms of representation, Sony Interactive Entertainment positions itself as the most nominated company with a total of 16 mentions. Square Enix and Xbox share the second position with 12 nominations each, while Sega rounds out the group with 11 nominations.
The Game of the Year category turns out to be particularly unusual. In addition to favorites like Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Metaphor: ReFantazio, there are surprising titles such as Balatro, an indie hit, along with a DLC expansion for Elden Ring called Shadow of the Erdtree, and an action game that has received mixed reviews, Black Myth: Wukong. Balatro received a total of five nominations, while the other two garnered four each.
Among other nominations, the inclusion of Silent Hill 2 in the best narrative category stands out, despite being a game whose script was written over 20 years ago. On the other hand, Dragon Age: The Veilguard only managed one nomination, and Star Wars Outlaws, a title that did not meet Ubisoft's commercial expectations, received three nominations, which has generated mixed reactions among fans.
