The Fortnite Festival adds local co-op mode to relive the nostalgia of Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

Starting January 14, Fortnite Festival will allow local multiplayer gameplay, enabling users to enjoy gaming sessions with their friends in the same room. Although many players may no longer have the old plastic guitar controllers, conventional controllers will work just as well. This new feature will be available on both Xbox and PlayStation, and will allow up to four players to participate simultaneously in the Festival Main Stage mode.

Fortnite Festival is a rhythm game developed for Epic by Harmonix, a company known for its work on titles such as Rock Band and the early Guitar Hero games. This offering was originally launched in late 2023. In addition to standard controllers, the game supports Rock Band 4 guitar controllers on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, as well as the recently introduced PDP Riffmaster.
