The first season of Marvel Rivals premieres this week and features the Fantastic Four as playable heroes.

NetEase has revealed the first details about the first season of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," set to launch on January 10 at 9 AM GMT / 1 AM PST / 4 AM ET. This free-to-play shooter, which has had a successful start, is expanding with the inclusion of the Fantastic Four as playable heroes, consisting of Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing, all available at no cost.

The new season will also offer three brand new maps and a new game mode called Doom Match. Additionally, a Battle Pass will be introduced with various rewards for players. The game's story will unfold in an expanded context, aligning with the arrival of the Fantastic Four, featuring an intriguing synopsis: "Darkness envelops New York as the Timestream Entanglement leaves Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane, scattering the pages of the Darkhold. Dracula and Doctor Doom alter the moon's orbit, plunging the city into eternal night and unleashing an army of vampiric creatures."

In the face of this threat, the Fantastic Four will join iconic heroes from the Marvel universe to combat the grim situation with the power of science, engaging in an epic battle against Dracula. Marvel Rivals was launched on December 6 and is available on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
