The first company to use Apple Wallet's updated tickets is Ticketmaster.

Ticketmaster announced that it will be the first ticketing company to take advantage of the new features available in Apple Wallet with the arrival of iOS 18.

Ticketmaster has been designated as the first ticketing company to leverage the new features incorporated into Apple Wallet with the release of iOS 18. According to a statement from the company, tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will display additional information within the Apple app, including venue maps, parking instructions, local weather forecasts, and music recommendations from Apple Music. Additionally, teams and event spaces will be able to add links to their own apps or websites, which users can access directly from their tickets in Wallet.

The initial implementation of this technology will take place at two sporting events scheduled for this year, and the company plans to expand these capabilities to more events in 2025. While Ticketmaster is promoted as the first adopter of this new Wallet ticketing experience, these features will not be exclusive to the company. Considering that Ticketmaster appeared in promotional images for these new features, it’s possible there was an agreement to jointly promote the updates.

Apple Wallet also introduces various enhancements in the latest version of the operating system, such as the new Tap to Cash feature that facilitates money transfers. Although the initial launch of iOS 18 last month included several exciting updates, the unveiling of Apple Intelligence, one of the standout features, is expected to take place later in October.
