The first beta of Apple's iOS 18.2 includes new artificial intelligence features and integration with ChatGPT.

Developers now have the opportunity to explore even more features of Apple Intelligence.

Apple has begun allowing developers to experiment with more features of Apple Intelligence. The company has released the first beta version for developers of iOS 18.2, which introduces tools such as emoji creation via Genmoji and image generation through Image Playground. Additionally, it includes more AI-driven writing features, integration with ChatGPT, and Visual Intelligence, which enables searches using the camera on iPhone 16 devices, among other new features. This beta also expands support for Apple Intelligence to more regions.

With the arrival of iOS 18.2, users will receive the second batch of Apple Intelligence features. The first wave of functions, which includes enhancements like a somewhat smarter Siri and notification summaries, will officially launch next week alongside iOS 18.1. Apple unveiled the planned features of Apple Intelligence during the WWDC 2024 conference in June, indicating that updates would be introduced in different phases. One of the most anticipated functionalities is that Siri will be able to understand what is happening on the iPhone screen and perform actions based on user requests; however, this feature is still not available, not even in iOS 18.2.

Additionally, Apple has released the first beta for developers of macOS Sequoia 15.2, which also includes new tools for Apple Intelligence, although Genmoji does not seem to be present in this beta.
