The best Windows alternative to the M4 Mac Mini: mini PC with AMD capable of handling four 8K monitors and featuring two 2.5Gb Ethernet ports.

The Chinese hardware manufacturer Chuwi has launched a new mini PC that could compete with Apple's Mac Mini M4, featuring several attractive characteristics.

Chuwi has introduced a new mini PC that promises to be a competitor to Apple's M4 Mac Mini, thanks to its impressive features. The AuBox 8745 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS processor, which has eight cores and 16 threads, reaching maximum speeds of up to 4.9GHz. Additionally, it includes an AMD Radeon 780M GPU that can also reach up to 2.6GHz.

This mini PC comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe SSD, making it a powerful machine. Moreover, the AuBox offers dual slots for RAM and SSD, allowing users to expand the memory up to 64GB and storage to 2TB.

In terms of design, the AuBox is very compact, with dimensions of 154 x 152 x 45 millimeters, an impressive feat considering the variety of ports it offers. Users can enjoy a USB-C port, two USB-A 3.2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a DisplayPort 1.4, enabling simultaneous connection of up to four 4K monitors and an optimal setup for productivity. Chuwi also notes that it can be mounted behind a monitor using a VESA mount, helping to keep the desk clutter-free.

Other features of the AuBox include two 2.5Gb Ethernet connectors, Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm audio output. Additionally, it has an external 120-watt power supply and an internal fan that allows it to operate around 65 watts, making it suitable for casual gaming as well as more demanding tasks.

An important attraction of the AuBox is its operating system, which runs on Windows 11. Pricing and availability details have not yet been revealed, so more information is expected in the future.
