The 8BitDo 3D Analog Controller priced at $40 will be available starting March 19.
The 8BitDo controller inspired by the Nintendo 64, designed for use with the Analogue 3D, is now available for pre-order. This peripheral, which costs $40, will begin shipping in March.
8BitDo has announced the availability of its new 64 Controller, designed to be used with the upcoming Analogue 3D, a remake of the iconic Nintendo 64 that will offer support for 4K output. Pre-orders for this controller, priced at $40, are already open. It is available in black and white colors to match the Analogue 3D, and shipments will begin on March 19.
This peripheral appears to be a version of 8BitDo's Ultimate controller, though it features a single joystick and six face buttons — A, B, and the four C buttons. Additionally, it has four shoulder buttons and allows the use of any of the triggers instead of the original Z button from the N64 controller, thanks to complete customization through 8BitDo's Ultimate software.
As a tribute to the original controller, the joystick features an octagonal gate. A Hall sensor and a durable metal ring have been incorporated to minimize the likelihood of drift issues with the joystick. The peripheral also includes a Rumble Pak, which is compatible with both the Analogue 3D and the Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, the 64 Controller is compatible with PCs and Android devices.
The original Nintendo 64 controller, with its trident shape, has left many puzzled nearly three decades after its release. Many people do not have three hands, Nintendo. Therefore, for those looking to emulate an N64 game with a more intuitive controller, this new model presents itself as a very appealing option.
Pre-orders for the Analogue 3D also began on Monday. So far, the black version remains available. However, it is important to note that the console does not include a controller, so if one is needed, it must be purchased separately.
