The 5 Best Headphones and Earbuds of CES 2025

From magnetic headphones to wireless models with charging, these were the ones that stood out the most.

Headphones and earphones have become an essential element of modern technology, almost as much as mobile phones, in our daily lives. Over time, these devices have improved in terms of sound quality, battery life, and design. At CES 2025, several brands showcased their latest innovations, including updates to existing models as well as new launches. Below are some of the highlights.

Breggz Zohn-1 is a line of custom Bluetooth wireless headphones created by Dutch singer Xander de Buisonjé, priced at $2,200. These headphones are not available in physical stores; to purchase them, you need to scan your ears through the Breggz mobile app. This ensures that the final product fits the user's anatomy. Additionally, the charging cases may feature gold details. After testing them at the event, it was confirmed that the Zohn-1 offers a truly premium level of audio quality and design, marking the beginning of a potential revolution in luxury audio personalization.

On the other hand, the Aurvana Ace Mimi headphones from Creative feature innovative dual xMEMS driver technology, combining a solid-state tweeter with a traditional driver for mids and bass. Priced at $129.99, these headphones deliver excellent sound quality, thanks to personalized sound tuning and active noise cancellation. They also include Bluetooth 5.3 with support for Auracast, six microphones for clear calls, and up to 28 hours of battery life. Their feature set positions them as a competitor worth considering against more expensive models like the AirPods 4.

The Technics EAH-AZ100, also presented at CES, integrate a Magnetic Fluid driver that promises ultra-low distortion and deep bass. With Dolby Atmos and LDAC capabilities, these headphones have also improved their microphone capabilities, including AI Voice Focus for clear calls with noise reduction. Their battery life is approximately 10 hours, and they are priced at $299, making them appealing for those seeking quality sound and features.

For athletes, especially swimmers, the Suunto Aqua presents itself as an ideal option. These bone conduction headphones are waterproof, with an IP68 rating allowing immersion up to five meters for two hours. With 32GB of storage for up to 8,000 MP3 songs and a battery life of 10 hours (extendable to 30 with a charging pod), they also include swimming technique analysis powered by AI.

Finally, the JLab Epic Lux Lab Edition, which debuted at CES with a price of $199, features custom dynamic drivers and adaptive active noise cancellation. They promise over 90 hours of playback and allow wireless charging through a charging dock, which is uncommon in over-ear headphones. Although expectations were high and some previous models disappointed, this release is anticipated to meet its promises in a future review.
