Thanks to this app, I have become a different man, or at least I will be in the future.
Homescreen Heroes: Fabulous is the ultimate app that combines routine and self-care, designed to make everyday life easier.
Reflecting on our personal goals is essential, and we often find ourselves facing unmet aspirations. These may be related to various areas of life, such as education, work, relationships, or health. One crucial question is: "Did you make a plan?" The importance of planning is emphasized in the words of Benjamin Franklin: “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” As we reach our 40s, many of us feel the frustration of not achieving our goals, especially when the start of a new year invites us to set new resolutions. However, these ambitions often fade away before February arrives.
To transform this experience, an app called Fabulous has been introduced, which uses principles of psychology and behavioral science to encourage lasting healthy habits. This resource aims to shift the focus from self-control to the environment, thus facilitating habit formation through effective planning of where, when, and how activities will be performed.
The app begins with a series of questions that assess the user's motivation and goals. This allows for the customization of a daily routine tailored to individual needs. My personal routine focused on drinking more water and dedicating time to meditation, although others may set different goals. The routines are organized into morning, afternoon, and evening segments, with the option to include habits such as exercising, tidying up, or meditating.
Once the routines are established, Fabulous keeps the user on track through the app interface and reminder notifications. However, it is common for notifications to be ignored over time, highlighting the need for continuous personal effort for changes to be effective.
In addition to daily routines, the app offers "Daily Coaching," brief audio clips lasting two to three minutes that help maintain motivation. The topics are varied, and the quality of narration is exceptional, which is useful for refocusing attention on what truly matters. Integrating these reminders into the daily routine can be a valuable element for keeping the purpose behind each action in mind.
Finally, the app's digital journal feature allows for reflection on the change process, although I personally prefer handwriting. Nevertheless, the digital format makes it easy to collect thoughts, allowing for simple review of previous entries.
I am excited about the small changes I am making, as I believe they will lead to meaningful results. I’m not completely sure if I will need the app once I have established new habits, but it will undoubtedly play an important role in my transition to a more structured lifestyle.
Fabulous can be tried with a seven-day free trial, providing enough time to explore its functionality and determine if it meets the user's needs. After that, an annual subscription is available.
