Tesla would have stopped accepting trades for Cybertrucks due to the increase in unsold units.

No options in the face of the buyer's remorse.

Tesla Cybertruck owners are facing difficulties exchanging their vehicles. It has been reported that the company is rejecting trade-ins for these trucks, despite having nearly $200 million in accumulated inventory. According to reports, those who attempted to turn in their Cybertrucks have been informed that "Tesla is currently not accepting its own vehicle as a trade-in."

Additionally, drivers who have experienced issues with their vehicles are being informed by Tesla about the Lemon Law process, which protects owners of irreparably defective cars, but only for a short period after acquiring the vehicle, the duration of which varies by state.

Alongside this inconvenience, Tesla has around 2,400 Cybertrucks in its inventory, amounting to approximately $192 million, considering that the MSRP of these vehicles starts at around $80,000. Since their launch, Cybertrucks have undergone multiple recalls; in March, nearly all manufactured models were recalled due to issues with a steel piece located above the doors.

To make matters worse, the brand's situation is further complicated by the controversy surrounding Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, who has caused public relations problems affecting both the company and its products. Events related to his role in DOGE during the Trump administration have triggered boycotts against Tesla and vandalism to Cybertrucks. Since the recall announcement, the inventory of these vehicles has increased and consistently remains higher compared to Tesla's other models.
