TCL unveils three new smart glasses models, already competing for the title of the best in 2025.

The CES 2025 showcases impressive smart glasses.

At CES 2025, TCL unveiled a range of three new smart glasses, two of which feature augmented reality (AR) capabilities, while one is focused on artificial intelligence and video capture. Although details regarding pricing or release dates have not yet been provided, these glasses aim to attract various types of tech-savvy users.

The standout model is the RayNeo X3 Pro, which uses the same Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip as the Ray-Ban glasses but offers additional functionalities. This device includes a dual-camera system: one camera is designed for photography and facilitates AI-assisted vision, while the other allows for the integration of augmented reality features such as manual tracking. Its lenses are equipped with full-color micro-LED screens that project applications and notifications within the user's field of view. In a brief demonstration, it was evident how these glasses can assist during travel thanks to real-time translation, outperforming Ray-Ban Meta glasses in terms of performance.

For those preferring a simpler design without a screen, the RayNeo V3 is an attractive option. Although it lacks screens, it includes a 12 MP Sony IMX681 sensor for first-person content capture and offers voice-guided assistance, transmitted through built-in speakers and three integrated microphones. Its slim, lightweight design, weighing only 39 g, makes it very comfortable, potentially making it one of the best smart glasses in terms of comfort and functionality.

On the other hand, the RayNeo Air 3 focuses on entertainment. These glasses connect to a compatible device via a USB-C cable, allowing the device's screen to project as a large floating window in front of the user, with a virtual size of 201 inches. Equipped with integrated speakers, they offer a portable home theater experience that promises to make travel more enjoyable.

Release dates are expected to be in "mid-2025" for the X3 Pro and Air 3, while the V3 will be launched "later in the year." The prices for the new RayNeo line of glasses are still unknown, but TCL has indicated that this information will be available closer to their respective release dates.
