Stardew Valley introduces a secret multiplayer mode on mobile devices.

Players of Stardew Valley on mobile devices can now try out a secret and experimental multiplayer mode.

The recent update of Stardew Valley for mobile devices has introduced a new secret multiplayer mode option. The developer, ConcernedApe, has decided to keep it under wraps due to its experimental nature, as they believe that multiplayer on mobile could lead to certain frustrations.

Unlike the multiplayer versions on other platforms, players on mobile cannot discover other users' farms and must connect only through the IP address. However, mobile users can join farms hosted on PC. The developers warn that using mobile networks is not recommended due to potentially unstable connections. The best experience is achieved when both devices are on the same network, although this is not a strict requirement.

To activate the multiplayer mode on mobile, you need to tap the leaves in a specific order. This sequence is part of the famous Konami code, adapted to work on smartphones and tablets, omitting the A and B buttons that are not present on these devices. Detailed instructions can be found on the Stardew Valley blog for those interested.

Once you access the new cooperation menu on the screen, players can host or join a farm. To join another person's farm, you need to know the IP address, which is not difficult to find on a mobile device. Specific instructions for iOS and Android users are also provided in the post related to Stardew Valley's multiplayer.
