Spy images suggest that Tesla's new Model Y is in testing phase.

Will the trend of lights on vehicle bars continue in 2025?

Recent social media posts have revealed images of an updated Tesla Model Y "Juniper," which moves away from the original Model 3 headlight style and adopts a new front design with a light bar reminiscent of the Chevy Equinox EV. According to various reports, social media accounts such as Cochespias1 on Instagram and user DominicBRNKMN on X shared spy photos of the modified Model Y while it was driving through snowy terrain. Although the images are somewhat blurry, it is also possible to see a new design at the rear, which includes a light bar similar to that of the Cybertruck, which was mentioned in a leak back in July.

At the beginning of 2023, it was reported that Tesla was working on a redesign of the Model Y, according to initial reports, and last year a prototype was spotted on the road with its front and rear camouflaged. This vehicle has been one of the best-selling models worldwide and is the last model that still features stalks for gear changes and turn signals. Given that it has maintained an almost unchanged design since its launch in 2020, except for an update to the center console, it is a model that cries out for a refresh.

The most notable recent update in Tesla was for the Model 3 "Highland," which made its debut in the United States last year, and like the new Model Y, primarily altered the front and rear, in addition to making adjustments aimed at making the vehicle quieter and improving its ride quality. It is still uncertain when Tesla plans to launch the new Model Y, although previous reports indicated that the company is preparing to manufacture a redesigned six-seat model in China by the end of 2025.
