During the recent presentation of the Switch 2, Nintendo hinted at the arrival of a new sequel for its popular Mario Kart series. While more details about this new game are expected to be revealed at a Nintendo Direct event scheduled for April, Nacon has already begun showcasing some of the first accessories designed to enhance the experience of using the redesigned Joy-Cons.

Before Nintendo's official announcement, several companies, including Dbrand and Genki, were already working on peripherals for the Switch 2. Among these were cases and screen protectors that anticipated the console's redesign.

Nacon's product line for the Switch 2 includes accessories very similar to those that have been available for the original Switch over the past seven years. This ranges from carrying cases, screen protectors, and USB-C chargers, to small steering wheels designed for each Joy-Con, allowing for a more dynamic experience in games like Mario Kart.

One of the most striking accessories is a more elaborate steering wheel that resembles racing simulation wheels on PC. However, it lacks advanced features like force feedback. This accessory is priced at approximately $30 and has suction cups on the base to secure it to a table or desk. Its foldable design allows it to be used at different angles, utilizing both Joy-Cons from the Switch 2.

Despite the generated interest, it's important to note that although the new accessories are listed on Nacon's website in the UK, they are currently not available for pre-order, and no shipping dates have been provided, leaving the launch timing of the Switch 2 uncertain.
