Solidigm withdraws from the consumer SSD market while focusing on the enterprise sector for 2025.

There are no plans to launch substitute products for the discontinued SSDs.

Solidigm, a subsidiary of SK Hynix, has officially announced the decision to cease production of its consumer solid-state drives (SSDs), specifically the P44 Pro and P41 Plus models. The company, which began operations in 2021 following the $9 billion acquisition of Intel's NAND and SSD business, has removed the "Client SSD" section from its website. The corresponding link now redirects to a "Discontinued Products" page, indicating that Solidigm will no longer manufacture its last two consumer SSD models or the older drives from the Intel era, such as the 660p and 670p models.

The company has decided to shift its focus toward data center solutions. There are no plans to introduce replacement products in the consumer SSD line, marking an exit from the consumer market. Since the acquisition, Solidigm has increased its focus on enterprise and data center markets, now prioritizing high-capacity SSDs, particularly for artificial intelligence-related applications.

The consumer SSD market has been challenging, characterized by oversupply that has led to price reductions and increasingly narrow profit margins.
