Six months after the successful premiere of Fallout on Prime Video, one of the stars confesses: 'I have no script, I literally have nothing' for the second season.

One of the three protagonists of Fallout has mentioned that they are still unclear about when the filming for the second season will start.

The production of the second season of Fallout continues to generate uncertainty, even among its stars. Six months away from the premiere of the Prime Video adaptation of the famous Bethesda video game franchise, Ella Purnell, who plays Lucy MacLean, confessed that she has no information about the status of the new season of the series.

In an interview, Purnell expressed her enthusiasm for the continuation of the story but admitted that she has not received any script and has no clarity on when filming will begin. "I’m excited," she said, "I really can’t wait [but] I don’t know anything, I have no idea when we’ll do it, I don’t have a script, I literally have nothing." She added jokingly that she wasn’t even sure of her participation in the new season, although she hoped to be involved. She mentioned that she needs to practice her accent again and get back into the mental state of her character.

Despite Purnell's statements, the lack of communication about the development of the second season seems unusual, especially considering previous comments from Amazon executives. Vernon Sanders, head of TV at Prime Video, had mentioned a few months ago that they already had scripts in hand, which raised expectations for an imminent start of production. However, there are reasons to believe that preliminary work is still being done, such as script rewrites or scheduling coordination between the cast and the production team.

It is also important to consider that a project of such magnitude requires time to align all the necessary elements before filming can begin, such as location permits, availability of crew, and a shooting schedule. Thus, although Purnell is not aware of the progress of the second season, it does not necessarily mean that it is not being developed.

That said, the anticipation for the return of Fallout continues, with the possibility that the new season may not arrive until late 2026. The wait could be long, but fans will be eager to see what surprises the continuation of this successful series will bring.
