Satisfactory is getting ready to receive its last update for a while.
Satisfactory has exited its early access, and the developer has indicated that updates will be reduced until the Ficsmas event takes place later this year.
Since its launch in March 2019, Satisfactory has garnered a large number of fans among base-building game enthusiasts. Its appeal lies in its science fiction setting, situated on an unexplored and resource-rich planet, where an authoritarian economy is hinted at, offering players that longing to work in peace and tranquility. After five years of development, the game exited early access in September, and since then, various patches have been implemented to fix bugs arising from the 1.0 update.
Developer Coffee Stain has warned fans that the pace of updates will slow down after version 1.0.0.5, until the arrival of the Ficsmas event. In a recent video posted on their YouTube channel, they shared several important updates. Among them, it was confirmed that Satisfactory 1.1 will include straight pipes, but the most exciting news is that they are "considering" the possibility of launching additional content (DLC) for the game. Coffee Stain has invited fans to share their ideas on what they would like to see in this DLC, suggesting that a new map or advanced end-game content could enhance replayability, although there are currently no issues in that regard, as the game reaches approximately 50,000 concurrent players solely on Steam.
A series of minor changes are also being prepared, including an optimized visual system to reduce the load on systems and maintain stable frame rates. One issue that has been fixed is the bug that prevented players from taming Lizard Doggos, one of the game's main attractions. Although the development of Satisfactory continues, Coffee Stain will focus on one expansion at a time, which will help minimize the amount of fixes that need to be made later. Players can also expect updates related to multiplayer mode and localization. Satisfactory offers an exceptional experience, ideal for enjoying a relaxed session at the end of the day, and these new contents make it even more exciting.
