Reasons why you might not be able to buy a Galaxy S25 Edge right away.

Can't wait for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge? Its launch will be limited to Korea and China. Stay tuned for updates on its global availability!

The long-awaited launch of Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge is scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. According to leaks from Ice Universe, the device will initially be available only in South Korea and China. This model was unveiled by Samsung during the MWC Barcelona conference in January, and its limited availability had already been anticipated. Recently, a report indicated that only 40,000 units would be available at launch, while, for instance, the regular Galaxy S25 managed to sell one million units in Korea just 21 days after its market release.

However, according to an analysis by SamMobile, Samsung plans to manufacture up to 3 million units of the Galaxy S25 Edge, suggesting that its global launch could occur in the near future. This new device will compete with the iPhone 17 Air, which is also expected to arrive later this year. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be one of the thinnest phones available, possibly featuring a ceramic back panel that would enhance its durability.

Speculation indicates that it will have a 6.656-inch display and will feature significant improvements in its camera system, with reports suggesting the inclusion of a 200-megapixel main camera. Like other smartphones in the Galaxy S25 series, the S25 Edge will use a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

As its name suggests, the design of the Galaxy S25 Edge stands out for being ultra-thin, with a reported thickness of just 5.84 mm, making it considerably thinner than the Galaxy S25, which is 7.2 mm, and the S25 Plus, which has a thickness of 7.7 mm. Despite its slim profile, it will maintain a 6.7-inch display, matching the size of the S25 Plus but with thinner edges similar to those of the S25 Ultra. Its structure is expected to be made of titanium, a material that offers strength, lightness, and scratch resistance, providing a premium feel without compromising durability. The model will be available in colors like Titanium Icy Blue, Jet Black, and Titanium Silver.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge will incorporate the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the same one used in the rest of the S25 line, including the Ultra variant. It is anticipated to have options of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. The device will feature a dual-camera system on the rear, although there are conflicting reports about the specific setup. Some sources mention it could include a main camera and a zoom lens instead of an ultra-wide lens. Additionally, there are conjectures regarding more advanced camera specifications, although details vary between different sources.

The S25 Edge could introduce a new camera technology from Samsung called ALoP (All Lenses on Prism), aimed at achieving a sleeker and thinner appearance. This innovation would place the lenses directly over the prism, rather than between the prism and the sensor, which could enhance brightness, reduce noise, and decrease the camera module size. Like other S25 series phones, the Edge is expected to feature Galaxy AI capabilities.
