Razer allows you to stream your PC games on mobile devices, and you can try it now.

The new Razer platform for remote gaming on PC has now launched out of beta and is ready for use, allowing users to stream any PC game to almost any mobile device.

Razer has officially launched its new remote gaming platform for PC, which was originally announced at CES in January. This service allows users to leverage the processing power of their computers while playing on separate devices, compatible with smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming consoles, laptops, and other desktop PCs.

The required operating systems are Windows 10 or 11 on PCs, and iOS 18 or Android 14 and later on mobile devices. Additionally, devices can be paired with any controller compatible with iOS or Android, as well as with mice and keyboards. For those using Razer's Kishi Ultra controllers, an enhanced experience is provided through haptic feedback.

During gameplay, the Remote Play platform adjusts the streaming quality based on the device used, synchronizing game output with the refresh rate, aspect ratio, and maximum resolution of the device. This allows for the best possible visuals while the PC handles the intensive processing. The platform is compatible with services like Steam, Epic, and PC Game Pass, enabling users to stream almost any game they have on their computer.

Once paired, devices do not need to be on the same network; streaming can occur over any WiFi network or even using mobile networks, as long as the desktop PC is turned on. An internet connection of at least 30 Mbps is recommended for a smooth gaming experience, although the minimum acceptable bandwidth is 15 Mbps.

To start using this functionality, software and apps will need to be downloaded on both devices. On mobile, the Razer Nexus app and the Razer PC Remote Play app are required. On the PC, it is necessary to download Razer Cortex and enable the Remote Play option. After logging in to Nexus with the Razer ID, the connection between the mobile device and the PC should be automatic. For those without a Razer ID, there is also the option to pair using a PIN code.

Despite the existence of many ways to stream PC games to mobile devices, Razer's offering stands out since its Remote Play service is free, works with any Windows PC, and is compatible with a wide range of mobile devices and controllers. This allows users who have not yet found a suitable remote gaming option to experience it at no cost.
