Poco unveils the most innovative and technological phone at CES 2025.

Poco has collaborated with Marvel to launch a special edition of the X7 Pro, inspired by Iron Man, and it is truly impressive. We have had the opportunity to examine it closely.

Poco has unveiled its new special edition X7 Pro, inspired by Iron Man, during CES 2025, achieving a design that captivates without being over the top. The back of the device features a relief of Iron Man's iconic helmet, designed in such a way that it invites touch, along with an accompanying arc reactor and the Avengers logo at the bottom. The photos do not capture the vibrancy of the colors and the combination of matte and glossy finishes, accentuated by golden details that enrich the design even further.

Additionally, the presentation package includes a case that makes fun references to the character and, importantly, does not conceal the impressive features on the back of the phone, while providing corner protection in case of drops. It also highlights its water and dust resistance with an IP68 rating.

Kate Miwk, owner of Miwk Books and a comic book enthusiast, believes that the phone will not only become a collectible item but will also be practical for daily use. This reinforces the idea that Poco has created a product that is not only visually appealing but also functional.

In terms of technology, the Poco X7 Pro is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor, announced in late December 2024, positioning it as one of the first phones to utilize this technology. The device comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, along with a 6,000mAh battery that supports fast charging with HyperCharge, completing in approximately 42 minutes. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The software interface, which employs Android 15 and Xiaomi's HyperOS, has been adapted with an Iron Man theme, including customized wallpaper and icons. The device also includes two rear cameras: a 50-megapixel Sony main camera with optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, along with a 20-megapixel front camera. Its additional features encompass an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G connectivity, and facial unlocking.

The Poco X7 series includes several models, including the regular X7 Pro and the Poco X7. The available colors for the non-special edition X7 Pro are black, green, and yellow, in addition to an option with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Poco X7 differs in specifications, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, a 5,110mAh battery, and 45W fast charging, while its display has a curvature on the sides and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Regarding pricing, the Poco X7 Pro starts at $299, and its version with 12GB and 512GB is priced at $369, while the coveted Iron Man special edition costs $399. It is important to note that Poco does not distribute its phones in the U.S., and the Iron Man edition will not be available in the UK, although other models will be.

While I haven't had enough time to thoroughly evaluate the Poco X7 Pro, it's evident that its processor provides agile performance and a vibrant visual experience, especially highlighting the design of the Iron Man edition, which wisely balances creativity without being excessive. This release could signal the beginning of a series of special edition phones themed around Marvel, allowing fans to build their own Avengers team through unique models. The Iron Man edition represents an excellent start and one of the most appealing limited edition smartphones seen in some time.
