PlayStation will take the music from its games worldwide.
PlayStation: The Concert will feature melodies from several of its most acclaimed titles.
Sony has decided to continue the celebration of the 30th anniversary of PlayStation with a unique musical event that will bring together video game fans. Starting in April of next year, a concert series called PlayStation: The Concert will launch in the UK and Europe, featuring music from well-known PS5 titles such as God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon. This experience will also include high-level production, highlighting the use of advanced technology in projections and LED imagery.
In a statement, it was noted that these concerts will present "iconic moments" from the mentioned games, using multiple visual layers that accompany the music. Additionally, an immersive experience is promised, with sound that will envelop attendees in the atmosphere of the games. The tour will kick off in Dublin, Ireland, on April 19, 2025, and will extend to other European cities like Amsterdam, Paris, and Budapest before culminating in May. Later on, the tour will move to the United States and other regions, although specific dates for those events have yet to be confirmed, with expectations for them to continue into 2026.
Interested attendees will be able to purchase tickets starting October 18, with an option for early access using the code PLAYCONCERT24 from October 16. The 30th anniversary of PlayStation will be commemorated on December 3, marking the launch of the first PlayStation console in Japan. In celebration, the company has also unveiled special products that evoke nostalgia for the original console design and has prepared a few surprises for gamers, such as digital experiences and new physical board games that incorporate iconic PlayStation symbols.
In other announcements, the new installment of Astro Bot has been highlighted, a charming platform game that explores the history of PlayStation, although unfortunately, it will not be compatible with PlayStation VR2. This year's State of Play event showcased more details on upcoming releases for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, leaving gamers excited for the titles that will arrive in the second half of 2024.
