Oppo launches a phone that claims to resemble the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Oppo has recently launched its new flagship phones in China, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro. These devices include a shutter button similar to that of the iPhones and allow for zoom through sliding gestures. They are equipped with the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, cameras designed in collaboration with Hasselblad, and offer wireless charging. Additionally, they feature an alert slider and have IP68 and IP69 certifications.

Both models offer wired charging speeds of 80 W and wireless charging of 50 W, although the PPS charger only provides 33 W through the cable. The Find X8 series is compatible with a magnetic accessory ecosystem called OPPO Mag, which requires an optional case. Among the accessories are an ultra-thin power bank of 20,000 mAh, an 80 W power bank, and a 50 W wireless charger with an integrated fan. For photography enthusiasts, the tool for removing reflections in images stands out.

The new phones also include a feature called Shadowless Snapshot, which allows users to take blur-free photos by raising their hand, eliminating the need for a traditional snapshot mode. The company compared this functionality to that of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Other camera features include higher-quality Live Photos, a portrait mode with soft lighting, and three styles that mimic different types of film.

The Find X8 Pro, presented as the more advanced option, has a 6.78-inch micro-curved display (120 Hz, 4,500 nits of peak brightness) and a 5,910 mAh battery. This model also offers a rear camera system that includes two 50 MP periscope cameras (one with 3x zoom and the other with 6x zoom) and a 50 MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32 MP front camera. The aforementioned shutter button has also been incorporated, allowing for both capturing images and zooming.

For now, the Find X8 series will initially be launched in China, although the company has already confirmed plans to expand its availability to international markets soon. The cost of the Find X8 starts at 4,199 yuan (about $590) for the 12GB/256GB model, while the Find X8 Pro has a base price of 5,299 yuan (approximately $745), with options for models offering up to 1 TB of storage.
