Nvidia will limit game streaming hours on GeForce Now instead of raising fees.

Current members will not experience gameplay time limits until the year 2026.

Nvidia has announced significant changes to its cloud streaming service, GeForce Now. The current Priority membership will be renamed Performance and will offer streaming at 1440p, support for ultrawide resolutions, and the option to save graphic settings between streaming sessions. Additionally, a limit of 100 hours of gameplay per month will be implemented for new GeForce Now members in the Performance or Ultimate tiers, starting January 1, 2025.

New subscribers who register for the service after 2025 will have a monthly gameplay limit set at 100 hours, which translates to approximately three hours per day over the month. Nvidia has stated that this measure aims to prevent an increase in membership prices “for the foreseeable future.” The company emphasizes that this strategy will allow the service to maintain unmatched quality and speed, as well as short or nonexistent wait times for all paying members, without the need to raise fees.

Although this limit will initially only apply to new GeForce Now users, all active paying subscribers at the end of this year will lose their unlimited gameplay time on January 1, 2026. From then on, all subscribers will be subject to the 100-hour limit.

Subscribers will be able to monitor their gameplay time through the Nvidia dashboard. Additionally, users will be able to automatically transfer 15 hours of unused time to the following month. However, if they reach the 100-hour limit, they will need to purchase additional time or use basic hardware settings for the rest of the month. Nvidia offers the option to buy 15 extra hours, costing $2.99 for Performance blocks and $5.99 for the Ultimate tier.

Nvidia has also launched a 25 percent discount on daily Ultimate and Performance passes until November 22, which users can upgrade to a monthly or six-month membership, ensuring a full year of unlimited gameplay before the new limits are implemented in 2026.
