Nvidia introduces priority access to facilitate the purchase of RTX 5080 and 5090 FE GPUs.

It is necessary to register with an existing Nvidia account.

Nvidia has recently launched its new GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 GPUs, but it has done so with very limited availability, which has generated criticism regarding the management of the launch, including performance issues and, in some cases, melting power connectors. However, the company has decided to implement a new program aimed at curbing resellers and making it easier for true enthusiasts to access their graphics cards.

This new program, called “Verified Priority Access,” allows users to sign up for the chance to purchase the coveted RTX 5090 and 5080, versions that are compatible with small form factor systems. Unlike the previous similar initiative for the RTX 4090, this time users must apply by filling out a form rather than being pre-selected.

Upon registering, it will be verified that the user has an active Nvidia account (accounts created after January 30 are not eligible), and they will be asked which of the two cards they prefer. Then, an algorithm will evaluate the applicant's validity as a gamer by analyzing their use of the Nvidia or GeForce Experience application. It’s important to note that the purchase is limited to one unit per person.

Nvidia has mentioned that invitations for this program will begin mailing out next week, although it has not specified the number of cards that will be allocated to this program, leaving the effectiveness of the initiative in benefiting gamers rather than resellers in doubt.
