Nvidia claims that its Blackwell artificial intelligence chip is advancing at a rapid pace.

Financial results for the third quarter of 2025 from the semiconductor manufacturer.

Nvidia has achieved the status of the world's most valuable company thanks to its artificial intelligence chips, surpassing Microsoft and Apple in the process. In its third-quarter results for 2025, the company indicated that its record AI revenues and profits are just the beginning. Despite recent reports of possible cooling issues with its new Blackwell AI servers, Nvidia did not address this matter during the investor call. Instead, the company assured that Blackwell is in "full production" and that they will continue to deliver more chips each quarter.

According to Colette Kress, Nvidia's CFO, 13,000 samples of Blackwell have been sent to customers this quarter. Additionally, CEO Jensen Huang stated that Blackwell's success can already be measured in billions. "As you can see with all the systems being implemented, Blackwell is in excellent shape," Huang told investors.

Nvidia has historically been recognized as a graphics and gaming company, standing out for its GPUs, but currently, its data center revenues have far surpassed its other businesses. While the gaming sector generates between $2 billion and $3 billion each quarter, its AI-powered data centers generated $30.7 billion in the last quarter, constituting most of the company's $35 billion in quarterly earnings. A significant portion of this revenue is net profit, with $14.8 billion in the first quarter, $16.6 billion in the second, and now a profit of $19.3 billion in the third quarter.

Although artificial intelligence does not yet represent a large-scale business for AMD, the company is undergoing a similar shift in its strategy toward AI. Both Nvidia and AMD have accelerated their development timelines, promising to release new chips every year instead of every two years. This implies a considerable overlap between each new chip generation as companies order and integrate them into their data centers. Nvidia also highlighted that the H200, which was announced last year, has become the company's fastest-selling product, accumulating several billion dollars in revenue in the last quarter. Meanwhile, the H100 chip was Nvidia's first successful product in the AI sector, although it took longer to reach its current success; Huang mentioned that demand for H-series chips is expected to continue throughout most of next year.

On the other hand, Intel is lagging in its AI opportunities and is currently undergoing restructuring.
