Nintendo invites us to explore Donkey Kong Land: what are the news?
During a special Nintendo Direct event, a tour of the new features of Super Nintendo World was presented, with a particular emphasis on the area dedicated to Donkey Kong Land.
Super Nintendo World continues its development with the goal of becoming a true fantasy world for fans of the renowned Japanese company. At a special event held on November 11, Shigeru Miyamoto, an iconic figure in the video game industry, took followers on a tour of Donkey Kong Country during a new Nintendo Direct. This preview allows visitors to get a glimpse of the new expansion that will open in Japan next month.
Park attendees will have the opportunity to walk through a large tunnel that will transport them to a vibrant jungle, faithfully recreating the aesthetic that has characterized Donkey Kong throughout its 40 years of history in video games. Miyamoto highlighted various architectural additions, such as the iconic Donkey Kong house and a shop inspired by Funky Kong. Additionally, a variety of mini-games will be available throughout the area.
Among the activities is a rhythm game based on Donkey Konga, and the Super Nintendo World NFC wristbands will allow visitors to collect hidden letters scattered throughout the park. On the culinary side, there will be themed options, including an ice cream reminiscent of DK's barrels. Finally, the main attraction will be the Golden Temple, designed in honor of the famous mine cart racing levels from Donkey Kong Country.
