New leaks of the Sonos Arc Ultra show 9.1.4 channel sound with next-generation 'Sound Motion' speakers.

There's even a preview video.

The new Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar will offer impressive Dolby Atmos sound in a 9.1.4 channel setup, thanks to its 14 drivers that incorporate Sonos's innovative Sound Motion speaker technology. Additionally, it will feature Trueplay for Android devices and a new adjustable voice enhancement function. This information comes from a recent leak by the U.S. retailer B&H Photo Video, which reportedly published an article about the launch prematurely as part of its pre-event preparations.

It is speculated that the release of the soundbar is very close, potentially happening today, although the official launch date is expected to be October 29, according to prior leaks.

Among the details confirmed by the leak is the speaker configuration, which includes 14 drivers: seven tweeters, six woofers, and one built-in subwoofer. Each of these drivers has been designed by Sonos to be optimally positioned and angled within the bar, ensuring the delivery of a 9.1.4 channel sound experience. Additionally, fifteen class D digital amplifiers are assigned to each driver individually, allowing for sound optimization for each channel.

The first version of the Sonos Arc was rated as a 5.1.2 channel system, indicating a significant improvement in sound quality. It is worth mentioning that few of the best soundbars with Dolby Atmos claim to have four elevation channels from the bar itself, positioning Sonos at the forefront of technology.

Furthermore, the 'Sound Motion' technology, acquired by Sonos from the company Mayht, will allow for a more precise immersive sound experience. This advancement is presented as a way to deliver dynamic sound in a more compact and efficient design.

To enhance audio accuracy and clarity, the system will include built-in microphones along with the Trueplay software, which will adjust the equalization based on the acoustics of the space. Previously, Trueplay was available only for iOS devices, but it has now been confirmed that it can also be used on Android.

Finally, it was also revealed that an adjustable dialogue enhancement feature will allow users not to miss a single word, providing a favorable option for those with hearing difficulties as well as for those who want to keep the cinematic experience as true to the creators' original intent as possible.

The Sonos Arc Ultra is shaping up to be a formidable contender in the soundbar market, and its launch is likely to be confirmed soon.
