Microsoft reintroduces this feature in the new version of Outlook.

Microsoft intends to update its new Outlook by incorporating two Narrator features that make it easier to review emails.

Microsoft has softly launched a redesigned version of its Outlook app this year, although its reception has not been the most positive. This new version will not only replace the previous Outlook, but it will also take over as the default Mail and Calendar app on Windows. To improve the situation a bit, an update has been released for Windows 11 that includes a change to this new version of Outlook.

Although many of the broader design concepts remain, a feature that was absent in the classic version has been reintroduced: the Narrator, which now auto-reads the content of emails. While this adjustment may not be enough to convince critics of the new version, it at least demonstrates that Microsoft is listening to concerns about some missing features.

In addition to reintroducing the Narrator in Outlook, Microsoft has introduced a new keyboard shortcut that allows users to copy the last thing the Narrator said, using the key combination Narrator + Control + X. The Windows 11 update also fixes issues in File Explorer, addressing one problem that caused items in the navigation pane to appear too spaced out and another that made RAW images taken in portrait mode show up as thumbnails in landscape mode. These improvements are part of Windows 11 Build 27749, which was recently released for Insiders in the Canary Channel.
