L'Oréal's new hair dryer has the power of a category 4 hurricane.
Get ready for a much more dynamic morning styling experience.
L'Oreal has launched a new hair dryer that promises to stand out in the market. This product, called the AirLight Pro, was revealed at CES 2024 and is already available for purchase. According to the brand, it offers "an unmatched styling experience," combining powerful airspeeds, infrared light (thanks to patented technology), and a companion app.
While the operation of the infrared light is not yet entirely clear, the airspeed aspect is more understandable and certainly impressive. Equipped with a high-speed 17-blade motor, the AirLight Pro can emit air at speeds of up to 130 mph, resembling a Category 4 hurricane, making it ideal for an energetic morning routine.
This hair dryer is expected to remove surface water from the hair while retaining moisture within the hair fiber, achieving "up to 33% more hydration and a 59% smoother appearance."
Additionally, the associated app allows for the creation of personalized profiles, although its exact functionality with the dryer remains a mystery, as there are no other hair dryers on the market with this feature, not even the Dyson Supersonic Nural, which is priced significantly higher.
L'Oreal has designed specific modes for straight, curly, and spiral hair, adjusting temperatures to dry hair quickly and save energy. It includes a concentrator and diffuser that attach magnetically, and the dryer has the capability to detect which accessory is being used.
The AirLight Pro is available exclusively at Ulta for a price of $475. A complete review of the product is anticipated in the near future.
