Let's Stay in Touch: TCL CSOT, the Major Reference in Display Technology You Probably Didn't Know About.

The second largest television manufacturer in the world also stands out as a global innovator in the display industry.

TCL has been very prominent in the market recently, establishing itself as the second largest television manufacturer in the world. In addition to selling tens of millions of LCD TVs in over 160 countries over the past decade, the brand also offers a variety of smartphones and B2B display products. TCL is a key supplier of panels for multiple television brands and provides visual solutions for a wide range of applications, including tablets, laptops, monitors, automotive displays, extended reality devices, wearables, commercial displays, among others.

A significant portion of these innovations comes from TCL CSOT (China Star Optoelectronics Technology), its screen development and manufacturing division established in 2009. This center employs over 37,000 people globally and has invested more than 36 billion dollars in capital. With over 8,000 employees dedicated to research and development and more than 60,880 patent applications worldwide, TCL CSOT has established itself as a major player in the industry.

Currently, TCL CSOT is hosting the 2024 Global Display Technology Conference in Guangzhou, China, where it will present its latest technological achievements and industry-leading display solutions, as well as its strategic vision for the future of this sector.

One of the key innovations is its new brand of advanced display technology, APEX, aimed at providing exceptional product experiences through the use of cutting-edge technologies. At this conference, the mass production of its Inkjet Printing (IJP) OLED technology will be announced, a significant advancement that promises to improve display performance while reducing production costs and environmental impact, creating a win-win situation for all parties involved.

APEX is based on a new value proposition that emphasizes enjoyable viewing experiences, reliable and sustainable visual health, and an imaginative future without limits. With key technologies such as HVA, HFS, IJP OLED, FMM OLED, MLCD, and MLED, and a focus on eco-friendly materials and energy-saving technologies, APEX stands under the motto "PACE TO APEX."

After 11 years of continuous research, TCL CSOT's IJP OLED technology has made significant leaps in technical specifications, setting new standards in the industry. The company has accumulated a considerable number of patents in this field, covering applications in laptops, monitors, and televisions.

The mass production of IJP OLED not only marks a milestone in its commercialization process, but also signals the beginning of a new era of technological revolution in the display industry. IJP OLED technology enhances image quality, reduces energy consumption, and extends product lifespan, laying a solid foundation for the independent development of display technology.

During the DTC 2024 event, several innovative products will be showcased, including:

  1. The world's first 2.8K QD-EL IJP display (14").
  2. The world's first mass-produced professional 4K IJP OLED display (21.6").
  3. The world's lowest energy-consuming OLED (6.36").
  4. The best image quality in LCD TV displays in the world (85").

These products will be integrated into future TCL products or those of its OEM partners, bringing TCL CSOT's innovative solutions to millions of users. Additionally, the company has designed a comprehensive business plan "3+2+N" to cover TV screens, IT, mobile, commercial, and automotive displays, and is exploring new applications in fields such as health and education.

TCL CSOT also has ambitions beyond, working on a potential replacement for OLED through its Bluestar project, which promises a one million dollar prize to anyone who develops a way to improve the longevity of blue QD-EL material. Likewise, the versatility of the technology has led TCL CSOT to state in a video that "in the future, printing display screens will be like printing newspapers."
