Kaspersky is no longer available on Google Play Store following the ban in the U.S.

Kaspersky has stated that it is taking steps to address the ban.

Google has removed Kaspersky Lab's antivirus software from the Play Store and has canceled the company's developer account in the days leading up to the September 29 deadline, according to a statement released by Kaspersky. The company argues that this decision is based on an over-interpretation of the restrictions imposed by the United States, claiming that such restrictions do not prevent the sale and distribution of its products and services outside U.S. territory.

Kaspersky indicated that applications that have already been installed from Google Play will continue to function normally; however, they will not receive updates and cannot be reinstalled. On September 27, users on the Kaspersky forum began commenting that they could not find the app on Google Play, and two days later, a company employee confirmed that "downloads and updates for Kaspersky products are temporarily unavailable in the Google Play store."

Google, in a statement sent to the media, confirmed the removal, explaining that this was done in response to a series of restrictions imposed on Kaspersky by the Bureau of Industry and Security of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Sanctions against Kaspersky were imposed in June, leading the company to dismantle its operations in the United States the following month. Subsequently, Kaspersky replaced the software on U.S. computers, without users’ permission, with an alternative from UltraAV.
