Jamie Siminoff, founder of Ring, returns to Amazon.

Jamie Siminoff is back.

Jamie Siminoff, the founder of Ring, has returned to Amazon this week, nearly two years after his previous departure, according to reports. He now holds the position of vice president and will lead the teams of Ring, Blink, Amazon Key, and Sidewalk. His return comes at a time when Liz Hamren had taken the helm after his initial departure. Siminoff praised Hamren's work and her team, stating that "they have done an amazing job driving the business, delivering strong results and creating delightful experiences for neighbors."

During a Q&A session at Amazon, Siminoff emphasized the "transformation of artificial intelligence" that is currently taking place, describing it as a "once-in-a-generation opportunity." He also mentioned that he has had many conversations with Panos Panay, Amazon's senior vice president of devices and services, about the "experiences we can create with devices that are incredible on their own but even better together." Siminoff anticipates that they will continue working on solutions that help customers stay safe, connected, and informed as part of a connected and magical experience.

A day after his original departure from Amazon, Siminoff founded a new company called Honest Day’s Work, which he later sold to Latch, helping to rebrand it as Door.com. He announced that he will take on an advisory role at the company in 2025.
