Jackery presents the Explorer 5000 Plus solar generator and solar roofing options at IBS 2025.

Jackery presented its powerful Explorer 5000 Plus generator and solar roof at IBS 2025, offering homeowners two innovative alternatives to power their devices.

The International Builders' Show 2025 concluded with a notable participation of thousands of exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in home and construction technology. Jackery had a strong presence at the event, where it unveiled its new solar generator Explorer 5000 Plus and a compelling proposal for the future of solar roofs, providing homeowners with an innovative new way to power their devices.

Backup energy solutions are increasingly important in a well-equipped smart home, facilitating the operation of the household during emergencies. The Jackery 5000 Plus is conceived as a sleek solution that requires minimal maintenance and manual intervention. This generator can be directly connected to the home via the Jackery Smart Transfer Switch, automatically activating as soon as a power outage is detected. This ensures that critical appliances, medical devices, and other electronics continue to function even without grid service.

With impressive specifications, the device offers a 7200W output and expandable storage of up to 60kWh. Its operation is nearly silent and has an emission-free design, making it ideal for indoor use. Additionally, it allows for recharging the unit through solar panels, which extends its lifespan, and supports both 120V and 240V, providing flexibility to power various devices.

Regarding solar energy, Jackery used this event to present the Jackery Solar Roof. This product, previously showcased at CES 2025, combines the functions of roofing tiles and solar panels. Instead of adding unsightly solar panels to the home, the Solar Roof offers a more robust alternative. With a curved and attractive design that converts sunlight into energy, the tiles come with an impressive 30-year warranty and are resistant to extreme temperatures, suitable for diverse weather conditions across the United States. Furthermore, they are durable enough to withstand strong winds and hail, ensuring a reliable energy supply for many years.

The Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus is available in several formats, starting with a base model priced at $3,499 and reaching around $7,999 when the Smart Transfer Switch is included and professional installation is considered. Meanwhile, the price of the Jackery Solar Roof varies based on the size of the home, with costs ranging from $13,000 to $27,000, including installation fees. Although these prices may seem high, compared to competitor models from Tesla and other brands, Jackery's solution turns out to be much more economical.
