Is your Google Pixel 9 screen flickering or are the haptic effects more intense? You're not alone, and fortunately, there's a solution.
Google phones are experiencing some issues.
Google Pixel phones are facing several issues that appear to have been triggered by the recent security update. Currently, there is no official fix available, but some users have shared possible alternatives.
In a challenging moment for Google, Chromecast devices are experiencing streaming failures, Google Maps seems to be deleting timelines, and now Pixel phone users are reporting screen, sound, and vibration-related bugs following the implementation of the latest security update.
Users have voiced their complaints on forums dedicated to Google Pixel, mentioning random fluctuations in brightness, sound problems when using third-party equalizer apps like PowerAmp EQ, and a perception that the intensity of vibration is significantly stronger since the update.
Fortunately, some temporary solutions have been proposed, although an official patch from Google is still awaited. For example, to address brightness flickering in certain apps, some users have found that adjusting the phone's refresh rate to 60Hz via the Battery Saver option may help, though it is not an ideal solution.
Regarding vibrations, Google has indicated that it is investigating user reports about changes in vibration intensity. Additionally, they have provided tips on how to modify this setting by going to Settings, Sound and vibration, and then to Vibration and feedback.
As for audio, affected users may be forced to forgo their third-party equalizers for the time being. Although these problems have not been personally experienced, affected users report that these solutions are effective, so they could be an option to consider while waiting for a more permanent fix.
It is worth noting that those who have not yet applied the security update due to these glitches should reconsider their decision. While the bugs can be frustrating, not all users who have updated have experienced issues, and skipping essential security patches could put the device at risk, potentially resulting in more serious problems than mere screen flickering.
